We are returning to this popular site! Ochoco Forest Group Campsite has plenty of tent camping space in a large grassy field surrounded by Ponderosa Pines. There is a large covered pavilion with picnic tables, potable water spigots, BBQ pit, firepit, and vault toilets. There are electrical outlets at the pavilion. Ochoco Creek runs alongside the campsite.
On Saturday, about 5:00 pm or so, the club will be providing a delicious dinner. Carol Dallas will dazzle us with her legendary smoked pork roasts! Dinner will include baked potatoes, green salad, and assorted cookies. Bring your own tasty beverages and dinnerware. All other meals are on your own. The club-owned propane grill will be available for your use. We'll have a community ice chest available. Because of logistics, we are not able to accommodate special diets for our Saturday dinner.
The group site has a large parking area with loop turn-around at the end. We have space for RV's without hookups. Please contact Steve Miller
shuntermiller@gmail.com if you plan to bring a 4-wheeled vehicle, RV, or trailer. There are fun paved and GS routes in the area. Ochoco National Forest Maps will be available at the campground.
Registration is required for this campout and opens March 1st. Deadline for registration is May 28th.
