Looking for a great dualsport riding escape? Have you ever wanted to see the night time sky away from the city lights? Are there parts of Oregon you haven't yet visited on your dualsport motorcycle? Do you want to experience the perfect combination of camping, dualsport riding, and camaraderie? If you said yes to any of the above questions, you'll want to attend the 2018 Oregon Discovery Rally (ODR).
Things to know about the Oregon Discovery Rally (ODR)
- Always takes place the week after Labor Day in September.
- This is a dualsport motorcycle event. No streetbikes, scooters, or four-wheeled vehicles.
- This is a non-brand specific event. All brands are welcome.
- There are no organized group rides, so experience level can range from beginner to advanced depending on the route selection.
- This event is tent camping oriented.
- Because of space limitations, no trucks, cars, RVs, or trailers for attendees please.
- We have already secured the location for this year's ODR. It will be located in the southern Cascade Mountains with specific information provided to paid registrants.
- Schedule:Attendees ride into the rally headquarters on Sunday afternoon, then setup camp around 4:00pm.Sunday night, riders enjoy a nice meal (Included withthe rally registration) and meet other riders to discuss where they plan to ride over the next two days. Monday, riders awake, grab breakfast (Included with the rally registration), then head out to explore Oregon on its wonderful dualsport roads. Later in the day, riders return to camp for another nice meal (Again, included with the rally registration) and to share stories of the day's event. Tuesday is a repeat of Monday. Wednesday morning, riders grab breakfast (Again, included with the rally registration), break camp around 9:00am,and either return home orcontinue their riding vacation elsewhere in the great Pacific Northwest.
- This is a BYO adult beverage event. We will provide a community cooler with ice to be shared by the group of riders.
Rally registration is $125 per attendee and is non-refundable except if the organizers need to cancel the event for safety reasons (i.e. the 2015 & 2017 ODRs were unfortunately cancelled due to fire danger).
The $125 registration fee will get you three dinners, three breakfasts, an ODR t-shirt, as well as camping fees. Plus, you'll get improvement in your off-road riding skills and memories that will tide you over to the next ODR! Due to logistics, registration is limited to the first 25 paid participants, so don't delay. Click on the link below to secure your spot(s).
